Examples: Obesity, mental illness, addiction, physical fitness, etc.
Systemic racism, education, homelessness, poverty, criminal justice reform, etc.
Climate change, recycling, clean air, material repurposing, renewable energy, reforestation, etc.
Defined by ideas that address something within the Evansville city limits. Does your idea address something unique to this region? Maybe even a neighborhood or town or school within Evansville. An example would be a mural project, more amenities for young people on Main Street, a clean air initiative in Vanderburgh County, etc.
Some of these ideas could fit into more than one division. For example, reducing obesity in Evansville could fit into Health or Regional Issues. You will need to choose which one best represents your idea.
Instructions on how to submit your idea will be emailed to you after you register.
Submit an up to 2 minute video about your idea (reminder, individual entries only).
You will deliver a 5 minute pitch to judges for your division.
The University of Evansville will be hosting virtual trainings on crafting a pitch, identifying the costs of your idea, and more. All registered students will receive information about these trainings. Check the timeline for dates - the first is on November 20th. We will also connect you to our students and faculty who can provide feedback. We are here to help you succeed!
